Actuarial Analyst

Hooker & Holcombe, a regional leader in retirement plan consulting, is looking for an experienced sales professional with high energy and the motivation needed to help drive sales growth. The ideal incumbent will be an individual contributor to the sales team and have the ability to build strong, profitable relationships for the firm. Our headquarters are located in Bloomfield, CT

Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to originate sales meetings via phone calls and other tools
  • Knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans
  • Adept at building and maintaining productive working relationships with financial and human resource professionals with the goal of earning their retirement plan business
  • Attend conferences and networking events; expected travel is 40%, with limited overnight travel
  • Complete sales reports, expense reports and other tasks as requested

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Strong understanding of ERISA
  • Individual contributor with 5+ years of sales origination experience in the retirement plan or financial services industry
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with significant telephone and personal interactions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM and web applications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Insurance license not required
