Operations Manager

Our Investment Advisory group currently has an immediate opening for an experienced Operations Manager. Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing and maintenance
    • Maintain the group’s databases (i.e., client, fund, vendor, etc.)
    • Monitor contributions to client accounts and cash flow needs
    • Software updates and file and report maintenance
    • File maintenance
  • Quarterly processing
    • Account reconciliation
    • Coordinate portfolio rebalancing
    • Report preparation and distribution
    • Model portfolio reporting and file maintenance
    • Client billing
  • Assist with client monitoring and compliance
    • OFAC monitoring of new and ongoing clients
    • Investment policy preparation and updates
    • Private client suitability documentation
    • Annual ADV offer and privacy policy mailing
    • Assist Compliance Officer in Junior Compliance Capacity
  • Private client/Institutional portfolio monitoring
    • Assist Investment Committee with regular monitoring of portfolios
    • Performance measurement and benchmarking
    • Portfolio trading and monitoring of fees and expenses
    • Account Set-up and Maintenance
    • Ongoing monitoring of funds, manager alerts
    • Interact with 3rd party vendors for account setup and maintenance
  • Miscellaneous
    • Prepare Weekly Market Update e-newsletter.
    • Special projects as needed
    • Assist with CRM maintenance

Job Skill and Professional Requirements:

  • Experience in investment operations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Morningstar database and other systems used by the investment advisory group
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
